Question Safari vent covers

I have a 1998 Safari trek and maybe I'm not so bright (the truth hurts) but a hail storm destroyed the vent cover over my bathroom. When I measure the rubber seat of the kitchen vent, it measures a perfect 14 by 14 inch. However, the destroyed bathroom rubber seat measures 12 1/4 inch by 12 1/2 inch. 14 by 14 is a standard size but I'm puzzled about getting the right replacement for the bathroom vent. Am I measuring the right part? Am I making this too difficult. If a 14 by 14 lays down on the rubber strip, will it keep the cold and the rain splash out? Thanks for any replies. Regards, emperor4life

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Any replacement vent that you're looking at should specify the opening size. I think they are all designed for 14 x 14 openings.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

I believe that 12.5 X12.5 is the standard vent size, and 14X14 is the standard cover. As long as your vent framework extends out of the ceiling, you shouldn't have a water issue.
