Safe T Plus steering control any downside?
Just ordered a Safe T Plus steering control for my 2011 Monaco Diplomat and wondered if anyone noticed any problems after installation. What about maneuverability in tight spaces? Anyone notice if the steering control fights you when making full lock turns. Our coach handles decent but looking forward to the benefits I have been reading about.

Are you doing a self install? Or, are you having it installed by someone else?

No problems here. Installed myself and put about 9,000 miles on coach since install. Makes winds and passings trucks less noticeable on steering. You’ll be glad you got it. Read the directions but watch the YouTube. YouTubes are much more informative.

No problems here, but the steering takes a little more effort to turn the wheel.

Will do self install, and have watched the install videos a couple times, should get mine next week. Hoping I can get it put on before we leave Friday for a long weekend at Carter caves in KY.

Not really. The only thing I noticed was it being a little smoother turning. If it is harder to turn it is hardly noticable. The main precaution is to not over tighten the tie rod bracket or you will bend the bracket. Apply only 30 - 35 ft lbs to the ubolt nuts.

Just installed mine last Sat. on a 2005 workhorse w-22 and so far I like it, I have not had the chance to drive it far but did take a little run down the interstate and I think it works great. Mine still pulls ever so slightly to the left so I have a little tweaking to do.
It is a very simple install with good instructions and I agree watch the you tube videos, it just takes a little effort to get the setting right. Good luck.

Back in 1986 I installed a Safe-T-Plus on a '84 Fleetwood Jamboree (class C). I can't begin to tell you how much difference in handling it made (for the better). Then we move up to class A's. Since they naturally handle better than class C's I forgot about the Safe-T-Plus. I'm now on my 5th class A, a 2011 Tiffin RED on a Freightliner chassis. I've had no beef with the way it handles; however, reading several articles on tire safety and blow-outs made me revisit the Safe-T-Plus. Installation is relatively simple...getting it adjusted properly is the thing. I would definitely implement a little trick I read about.....making a mark on the tie rod at either side of the Safe-T-Plus bracket simplies the process. Here's my positive experience after installation. On the first trip out going down Virginia I-81 heading for Tennessee, when it was safe to do so I took my hands off the wheel several different times. The first instance it stayed between the lines for 6 tenths of a mile. The second time 8 tenths. In addition to the safety aspect, the overall improved handling is a bonus. Incidentally, I have not noticed any issues with full lock wheel turning. This product has my full endorsement.
