Safe Travels to the Snow Birds

Merry Christmas to all and Safe travels to all in the RV community that head south Dec 26-27bth.

Thousands in Michigan and other places in the north currently have no electric power in their stick homes. Makes it difficult to depart with the ice and snow also. Be safe.

Our friends are waiting for 3 clear travel days after Christmas before they leave Michigan.

With the way the weather has been in Mid Michigan and the mid west they may not get 3 days until spring!

Fellow Michigander,
Thanks for thinking of people like us, its a long story to tell but we have been on the road (or in motels) for a week and we have only made like 3 states, on our way to LA, and then FL.
We WILL get there! But I can't believe the problems that have happened to us in the last month but we refuse to lose to this trip.
Right now we are in Cape Girardeau, MO after the driveshaft came apart on I-57 and now I hope we can get on the road by Friday. We left our home the first time time on Nov 5th, had tranny problems, went back home for 5 weeks, and now we are stranded in MO until who knows when, but we hope we will be on the road in a day or two.
The problem this time is that the transmission yoke came out due to the bolt coming out of the tranny. That let the driveshaft come out and drop.
Apparently it was the fault of the repair shop.
But! we will overcome and get there finally and this will be history.

Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to all.

In November we drove our MH to Central California and parked in my brothers yard. We drove our toad back to Washington State for Christmas with the family. On Saturday we will drive back to our MH and continue our trip south. We have avoided driving our MH in the snow. If we hit any snow now it will be in our 4 wheel drive toad.
