I'm glad that I was able to provide an outlet for all who responded. Some great stuff here. I can assume, since I did get one response that was germane to my question, there are very few who actually can provide an accurate product assessment. I do appreciate all the discussion on RO and salt ( sodium chloride and potassium chloride)water softeners though.

Hello Hwyman, devises like Filterwater is selling have been round for sometime in one form or another. Will it work for you, about the only way to know is buy it and try it for a while. What I have a hard time buying is their statement that it will cleanup the down stream pipes and fixtures. If they offer a money back warranty I would say buy it.
