Does anyone have information or direct knowledge of how Samson tires are performing? Need 8 315x80x22.5 tires. Not happy with Michelins. Any info appreciated.

I used Samson Long Haul GL283A, 8/R19.5 on my old Bounder for one year and over 6000 miles. I've sold the Bounder and they still looked new. I think they were rated for more load than the stock tires, so likely rode a bit rough, but I did have a frame of reference. I would likely buy them again.

The Newmar came with newer Michelins, so I hope they don't disappoint me too.

Last year, when I got new Michelins, the tire company had two
pallets of Samson tires that had come off trucks. They had
either blown out, or had very uneven wear patterns that
exposed steel belts. They said that they do not like to sell
them, but if someone wants the cheapest tires they can get,
they sell them with the normal warnings that they are made
in China and are prone to wear problems and blowouts.
Just repeating what I was told.....

Do a Google search for reviews for Samson tires. I got 6 of them on my class a. Can't give a review on them yet only got 100 miles on them

I put 6 on my motorhome last year and am very satisfied with them. I installed Dynabeads and they run smooth. If I were buying today I would get load range G as I got H for extra strength. Didn't need it.

Bought 8 Sampson tires for my Pace Arrow. To the point: They are fine. No problems after one year and 9,000 miles or so. I carry an air compressor in my gasser and check inflation but that has not been an issue.
As an aside, I'm in the old school as far as balance goes. I opted for wheel weights after hearing about the possibility of balance beads taking on water with resulting clumping from water logged air in compressors not bled out frequently enough.
Hey, what do I know? I took the advice of Pauley with 36 years experience swapping out truck tires. He said that the Sampsons would age out before they would wear out on any RV in seasonal use.
My story and my experience are good. Hope yours are good, too.

Not 315x80x22.5, but I installed 6 samson gl283a 295/75r22.5 G rated tires on the rear of our coach with centramatics . only have a 1000 miles on them. very smooth no issues. running 100psi. happy with the purchase

I recently purchased a 38s Bounder that has 6 Sampsons. They're 5 years old and show no signs of age cracks in the sidewalls and wear pattern is fine.
I have set air pressure to rated load from the coach placard and our first 500 mile RT they seemed to ride okay. Maybe a little out of balance.
My previous 39z had Michelin had the sidewall age cracks were severe at 7 years and I replaced them.

I have about a year and 1/2 on my Samsons - so far I love them - much better than the rivering goodyears. When the tire shop installed them there were stacks and stacks of Mich - and goodyears all cracked rivering or blow outs. They change many RV tires in the Dallas area and said they have much less problems with the Samsuns. Smooth and wear great for me.

Mine are the 19.5 samson GL283A's No problems in 5000 miles. I saved over $1500. I'm happy.

I replaced my Michelins with Samson over 2 years ago and they have been trouble free.

Was wondering how your experience was. I put Samson 255/70r22.5 LRH on my rig back in 2018, so far 20k miles later, we are still good. Going on 5 years now, so I'm starting to research when I should replace them. People say 5/6/7/8 years, and some say only if there is cracks, etc.
