Turned the ice maker on for the first time in our Samsung residential fridge and there is frozen ice in the ice maker but it hasn’t dumped any ice in the bin ? Am I supposed to turn something on ??

We have a black switch that turns the ice maker on and off.

I just asked a question about my ice maker stopped making ice. It ended up that it was froze up and I had to take a hair dryer to it. Fixed it perfectly.

Same here. I had to slightly warm mine and then it dumped ice and worked fine since.

Are you sure it is turned on? On the RF18 the icemaker button shows the ice bucket and very small words icemaker off when it is off. And if you wear bifocals you gotta get the step stool so you can read it...
