Thumbs down Sand at watertap screens

My water tap screens are plugging up frequently with silica or sand like particles. I don't understand how sand could get into the potable water tank after going through a pre water softener filter, the water softener (no sand, table salt only) and last through a carbon filter. Anyone have any ideas as to what is happening here.
By the way there is no water heater in the system just Aqua-Hot for the hot water.

Sand is not getting through a carbon or any other filter. Could it be sulfa building up in the hot water tank?

This is probably the result of very hard water. I thought the same in my first Class A...1 year and I had restricted water flow; looked at the screens and there was sediment. Cleaned them with vinegar and blew them out (as well at the plastic disc that some have to "spread" the water). All was well after that EXCEPT...if you have one...the macerator toilet.

About three months later, I wasn't getting the fill I though I should after the flush. Turns out in back of the macerator toilet, there is a solenoid based pump that also has the same screen and disc in it that a faucet has...yes there was sediment there as well. Blew it out...the macerator toilet was suddenly filling as it should. Hope this is helpful. BTW, I now have a water softener (or you can use a RO system)...the house filters just don't collect all the particulates/sediment.

Sounds more like scale out of the hot water tank. Remove drain plug and flush several times straining the water that comes out especially the 1st flush. If there's a bunch or white chunks/particles this was your source.

It was silica in mine...got a few geology classes along the way, and know the difference.

I don't have a hot water heater! The residue is sand or silica not calcium particles. One of the filters is not doing its job. I guess I'll flush the water tank and see if it persists.
