Sanitizing Water System Tiffin Breeze

I understand the concept of how you sanitize the supply water storage tank and the rest of the water system. But how do I get the bleach solution into the water storage tank. The owner's manual states you pump the solution into the tank. What type of pump do you use for that operation? Or can you just pour the bleach solution using a funnel and short section of hose? Also do I remove the system filter before this operation?

Paul: I pour mine into the water inlet. I do not have your manual but at some place you have a water inlet area for filling your tank...open cap pour in 1/4-1/3 cup per 100 gal and let it sit for 10 hours.

Yes, remove the in house filter if you are going to run the bleach through that portion of plumbing.

As I recall, mine indicated that the straight bleach should be mixed with some water before pouring it into the tank. I don't know if the straight bleach could damage something on it's way into the tank or if there was another reason, but I did dilute it before pouring it in.

Both times that I sanitized my fresh water system this is how I got the bleach solution into the water tank:
1.) Connected an empty, (drained of water), hose to the city water inlet on my coach.
2.) Poured the bleach solution into the faucet end of that hose.
3.) Connected the hose to a water supply faucet.
4.) Turned ON the faucet.
5.) Filled the water tank.

BTW, I don't have a water system filter to worry about.
Since you do have a water system filter see:

mel_s gave you the absolute simplest and easiest way (IMO) to add the bleach. WAY easy.

If you have a whole house filter, remove the filter cartridge and put bleach into the empty canister. Put 1/4 cup (2 oz) bleach per 15 gallons of tank capacity. Put the canister back on and fill the water tank. Turn pump and run each faucet until you smell bleach. Let it all stand for at least, 4 hours. Then repeat without the bleach.

I do the same as mel s , usually once a year in the spring. I then drive around for a while to mix it up. turn on the faucets to sanitize them, then drain and flush a couple of times. to rid the system of bleach smell i add a couple cups of pure lemon juice the same way and run thru the lines. flush one last time.
