Sat wiring for Thor xte

Just picked up my Xte and the walk thru was poor. I can't find the sat input to my sat receiver. I have the in motion sat dish. Inside the cabinet where you turn on the dish there is connection the says "sat/aux" I thought the sat dish had two lmbs. so there should be two connections, Help.

The delivery and setup from Lazydays is another that I will talk about later

A cable lay for the coach would help.

Thanks, Dave

Unless something has changed recently, all in motion satellite dishes only have 1 LNB.

My R5 only has one. It works great, until you go under an overpass, I get a pause for a second or 2. Traveling north and west, I get better reception because sometimes the trees are too tall next to the highway.

if you are talking about a winegard in motion it will have two outputs from the dish. My tiffin and I believe several other motor homes have one output for the front tv and the other running to the back of the motor home for the bedroom tv

Thanks for the input, It is the winegard inmotion, I have the one upfront but had not looked for the two in the bedroom. Looks like it would be under the tv in the living rm. We are still on the road and have not had time to look in the bed rm.

Thanks for all your help, Dave

2 outputs and 2 LNBs are two different things. 2 LNBs can lock onto 2 satellites at the same time. The single output could be split to provide an input to 2 devices.

My situation

I have the Direct TV receiver with two inputs that I drive with two cables from my ground mounted dish that has two lmbs in it. I would like to use this receiver with my inmotion sat dish on my new coach. I know I can turn one of the lmbs off in the receiver. The winegard description implies that the inmotion dish has two lmbs coming down the one cable. Is there a spliter for my receiver????

All your comments have been helpful. Maybe my next bet is to talk to winegard.

Thanks, Dave

You are quite correct. When I had an in motion I had to watch what was on the same satelite on my back tv if someone up front changed channels and it was on a different sattelite the tv in the bedroom would lose their program.

However, If you look at the bottom of the IN- Motion sattelite dish you will see two outputs coming out of the dish. You do not need to add a splitter downstream. In my Tiffin Allegro Bus one output goes to the entertainment center at the front of the bus and another cable from the sattelite is brought out behind my TV in the bedroom to be hooked up for a reciever back there. I hated the way that worked so I went to a Winegard Traveler dish and now can watch what i want. I cannot watch it while I am traveling because the traveler is a stationary motion dish. My wife was really getting upset about me going 80 miles an hour down the highway in my bus and watching Big Bang Theory while I was driving ( Just Kidding I do not drive that fast or attempt to watch anything but the road when I am driving)
