Satellite TV hook up

Getting ready to take the first multi day trip. I have a King Dome system and a Panasonic SCPT660 home theater.
There is a COAX cable and another cable with 6 leads all color coded that I ASS-U-Me plugs into the Direct TV receiver that I will move from the house to the MH. Not sure I understand all the color codes.
Is it just that easy or am I missing something?

You need coax from the King Dome system into the satellite receiver. And the dome has to be programmed for you satellite service, Direct, Dish or ?) so that it finds the right satellites for you. Then you need video and audio out of the satellite receiver to your coach tv(s), maybe via the Panasonic for audio. There are several ways it could be set up, depending on other items such as a DVD player, DVR, video switch, etc. Also, what inputs are your tv(s0 using? HDMI, component, composite video (coax), or ??

Not sure what the 6 color codes cables may be. Are these wires that are already in the coach? Six colored wires sounds like the audio outputs of the home theater system (5 surround speakers + subwoofer). But those wouldn't plug into the satellite receiver.

If you have Direct TV, you only need to connect the dome coax to the SAT Box or receiver, then you should have a short coax that goes from SAT box to the switch, should be located together in the same space, mine is in the cabinet over the left driver seat. The color coded cables are for "other" items you have in the home, not needed for the coach.

I don't know anything about the King Dome, but on my KVH dome there is a multi-conductor control cable that goes from the dome to a wall-mounted control box inside the coach. That is in addition to the coax cables. Does the King Dome use a similar control cable?

I will have to take some pictures of the cables. I have the coax, I have a wired remote to aim the dome.
I will look for the "box" that was mentioned.
This blasted thing is causing me more grey hairs each day!

A couple of things to keep in mind when using that dome..
1. Let your satellite box "find" the switch.
2. Be alert when the dome is searching, Keep an eye on the signal strength meter (it's easy to miss the hit)
