If you spend any time at all in any RV park, you will soon realize that there is not a square inch in the whole place that has not been peed, pooped, vomited, spilled or dumped on by dogs, cats, rodents, birds, other pets, wild animals and/or drunk humans.

Well,
As you've witnessed more than apparently a few times, there are plenty of "people" out there that passed up, what I call the "Three C's" table when they were born and, were picking up things to know in life. And, those three C's are:
1. Common Sense, 2. Common Decency and 3., Common Courtesy. Each of those apply in various circumstances. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to determine which one applies, to any set of circumstances.

We just returned from a 5 week trip, about 2500 miles and about 5-6 states and, we witnessed many of those folks which lacked some or all of the three C's. When you walk your dog, whether to intend for it to do it's business, or, you're just out for a walk, you should carry the small poop bags that are commonly purchased just about anywhere on the planet. If they pee, well, obviously you can't pick that up but, you can at least do your best to control where it might happen.

If your dog is headed to a spigot, or some other inappropriate intended pee receptacle, well, that's what leashes are for. It's just not that hard to use any or all of the three C's when out with your pet.

I don't drink or otherwise use the water on the outside of the faucet so I think I'm good with whatever mother nature or inconsiderate people throw at me.....or the faucet.

BTW, if you ever get bored and can get your hands on a microscope, put a drop of your so called "clean" drinking water under the lens......but be prepared to quit drinking water after that...........and don't dare go into a natural water source, like the ocean, lakes, rivers or streams. Animals crap there!!! eeeeewwwwww.......

Stay well.

I have carried and used a spray bottle of diluted bleach for just this purpose. Spray the spigot before connecting fresh water. Spray it again when I disconnect.

Please share bleach/water ratio. I am going to steal your exception idea.

Local health dept says bleach and water mix has to be remade every 24 hrs as it looses it's strength and no longer kills germs.

It is true bleach looses strength over time, but it takes a considerable amount of time and / or sunlight exposure.
