OBD II connector

It is trapazoidal shaped usually along the right side of the steering column, hidden. It has many pins/contacts not all holes are filled but the same shape as the connector on the Scan Gauge.

What rig do you have? If it is a Ford the plug is an OBDII and is located under the dash in front of steering wheel. When I had the gasser it took awhile to find it since it was buried along with a bunch of wires.

If you have a DP then you need a ScangaugeD whig has a very different plug and is usually located on the firewall in front of steering column.

Good luck.

Elmer,

If I remember correctly, it is by the steering column, under the dash, kind of buried. I remember it as a round plug and I think it's on the left, but not sure. We upgraded from our 98 Discovery several years ago. I think there is also one on the back of the coach, around the radiator, but I'm not sure. There is one there on my Expedition along with the circular one under the dash. Hope you find it OK. We really like our Scanguage D.

Scangauge

Hi Elang
I just went through that, It was not easy (I'm in my 80s) had to take off all the shrewd around the steering column, I'ts buried in the wire harness, got an extension with two plugs, so i can put the gauge on one and one for whatever, then put all the shrewd back, took me 4hrs
