Scan Gauge D weirdness

So I'm sitting here in my easy chair this morning enjoying a cup of coffee in my favorite Brown County Indiana campground when I noticed my Scan D flicker to life on the dash. Of course engine and ignition is off. About the moment I get up to investigate, it goes off.

Any of you Scan D owners ever had that happen?

I don't think anything is wrong with your unit. My SG II (gasser version) will go blank about 15 seconds after key to off, but it does "restart" periodically and turn off again all by itself. Because of this, I unplug the display unit when we stop for the night-but LL recommends you don't disconnect the unit until it goes blank. FWIW, mine will display the same 4 individual gauges that I had previously selected when I re-connect the display.

Scan Gauge D weirdness

No need to worry, my Scan D does the same thing as well. I always unplug it when I'm not driving, which is a pain IMO. I've often wondered why they don't come with a power button to prevent this from happening.

The SG II has two locations for the "phone jack" type plug, one in back and one on side. I leave the other end connected to the OBD port, and just unplug the wire at the display.
