Scan guage 2

I have a 2011 sightseer 31E on F53 chassis. Has anyone used the Scan gauge on this type of platform. I want a gauge to give me accurate readings on coolant and transmission readings. Does it affect the MH electronics using the OBDII port?
Thanks, Moe

Moe, I have a 2011 Mirada with the F53 chassis and have the scan gage II. No negitive affect on any electronics using the OBDII port. I have mine set up to report RPM's, Volt's, Avg MPG and Current MPG.

You might also go to Dale Olson's website and drop him an e-mail. He is very knowledgeable on the ScanGuage II and I believe has a list of different things the guage can monitor.

Me too

I wouldn't be without a Scan Gauge on a MH again. It has saved me more than it cost in MPG, checking OBD codes and peace of mind.
I monitor TPS (Throttle Position), CHT (Cyl. Head Temp), AVG (Avg. MPG) and MPG (instantaneous MPG). Watching TFT (Trans. Fluid Temps) in hot weather is important.
I check for OBD codes periodically and have analyzed other vehicles saving them $.

How to program XGauges

I received my Scan Gauge today and would like to know how to program XGauges on it. Apparently my MH would use the CANSF protocol ( 2008 and newer ) but it doesn't differentiate between V8 and V10. Which code is entered as there are a number of them. For example, TXD, RXF, RXD and MTH. I would like to monitor "transmission temperature" and "cylinder head temperature".

Moe, read the book. That's the best source for how to program your SG2.

I am looking into a scanguage. It seems they are quite popular on this site! My question is can I use it on different vehicles? ( take it out of the MH and put it in my truck)? I didn't know if they were programmed to one specific vehicle.

Great news on the Scan Guage D. I'm still in a toss up between that and Silverleaf. Do they do the same thing? Is it just the presentation of the info thats different, it seems the SL is far more graphical bring displayed on a laptop.
I'm thinking that if they do the same thing and you like a bevy of guages that Silverleaf is the way to go, but it looks like you can't beat the Sacn Guage for it's compact size.
Do I have any of this right?
