Sealand toilet

My sealand 510 toilet is leaking around the base again. I seem to have to replace the gasket every 2 or 3 years. I keep extra gaskets with me, so have them to do it again tomorrow.
My question is, Has anyone tried using a wax ring instead of the foam rubber gasket Sealand supplies? I am going to take a look tomorrow and see if it might work. If you already tried this, I would be interested in the results. Good idea or Bad ?
Thanks

Check the floor around the toilet for any flexing .
The only time I've replaced the gasket is with the ball/shaft assembly , in 8 years , living in coach 5 1/2 months a year.

Just had to replace mine last week. We've only had the coach 3 years, so don't know much about past history.
I dont think a wax ring will work, but like you i would like to find a better alternative.

What makes you think.know floor flange seal is bad?

Replacing every 2-3 yrs is NOT normal....something wrong

Is this the seal you are using? (Model 510----385310063)

OR this one (Model 510H----385311267)

The top seal is the one I am using. The reason I think/know the bottom seal is leaking is because the toilet holds water and only leaks when you flush it. I can see the water coming out from the base and it only does it when pressure is put on the stool. When you are sitting on it and flush. Otherwise it doesn't leak. The flange bolts are tight and the floor is very solid. I am pulling the stool out today and will also check for a cracked flange on the floor fitting. Had to replace that when the coach was new. Evidently they over tightened it when installing the toilet. That was a fun project!.
Thanks to all

SeaLand toilet seal

Went thru this last year. Replaced with a Thetford Aqua-Magic Style Plus..
Found out the SeaLand was leaking where the two toilet halves go together. Only saw leaks after flush and refill. Supposed to be a seal / sealant between the halves that can't be replaced. So Christmas Eve on the road changed toilets. No more leaks. Had to seal around flange with Dicor due to previous leaks.
