Sealant for Cap Molding

I have a trim molding that covers the mating point of the roof cap to the side walls.

It is about 3" down from the roof edge and runs around the rig on each side and rear cap.

I removed the 19 year old clear sealant from the bottom edge of the molding and now need to replace it.

What kind of clear sealants are folks using?

Dean,

Look for Dicor sealant which is a chaulk type sealant. Not recommended to use silicon based products as they leave a film behind which makes it much harder to re-apply in the future.

I too would recommend Dicor products. You can use caulk that is for vertical surfaces, NOT the self leveling kind.

I used ProFlex RV, available from Camping World, for that job.

Papa Jim, I just picked up some Crystal Clear Pro Flex from a local RV shop.

Thanks for the response as I was having a senior moment and could not remember the name Pro Flex which I have used in the past.

Thanks to all for the responses. Problem solved......
