Searching for mid-entry diesel pusher

DW and I are searching for a late model mid-entry diesel pusher to replace our "outgrown" 33' Airstream Land Yacht.

We are particularly taken by the Gulf Stream Atrium. HST we have not seen nor driven one -- it has been an internet search up to this point.

Any thoughts and personal experiences any of you on this forum have had with any Gulf Stream Class A, particularly the Atrium 8410 and 8411, would be much appreciated.

We are open to other suggestions, keeping in mind that the two basic requirements at this stage of our search are diesel pusher and mid-entry.

Thank you for your help.

A suggestion---but not from personal experience. This is the rig I would look at in the same situation as you describe.

I have friends and acquaintences that own Dutch Star---I have alway been impressed with them as "worth a look". Never have driven one even a foot----but the people I know that have them like them a lot---and use them a lot.

Good luck on your search----a good time to buy should be fun.

Recently purchased a 2006 GS 8411 but have not put it to much use as yet. Plan to leave on trip Thursday. Lots of nice features, but supposily bad customer service plus they will soon phase out MH operations. I purchased from former GS dealer and got a 4-year service policy. PM me if any specific questions. My wife loves the 8411 but time will tell if we both share that love for it....hopefully we will.

Good luck on your search... Alpine had a few mid entry units, in a few lengths as I remember.

Newmar used to make mid entry DP's, but they were in low demand. I don't think you can order one with a mid entry anymore, just like they phased out drivers doors.
DW liked the mid entry, till I showed her how much storage space you lost when we saw one on a dealers lot. Besides, mid entries are hard to put in a slideout.

American Coach made a couple mid-entry floor plans too, but none recently. They don't seem to be very popular in pushers.

To me, an entry level DP can be defined on how much you want to pay for the unit and how much you want to spend to make it road worthy. Lots of great deals out there.

We purchased a bank repo from Quality Motor Coach

We have a mid entry DP. A 2000 Dynasty, Prince model. 40 ft. Single kitchen/living slide. DW and I like it.

Purchased our 98 American Eagle from this company 2.5 years ago. They have a Country Coach with 1 slide and mid-entry on their website now.

Might be worth the drive IMHO.

We have a 01 Safari Panther. Like the mid entry. Putting stuff in the kitchen is easy and to me is seems to have more room with the sofa, recliner and two cockpit chairs.

We have two slides, on the opposite side of the door.
