What devices have any if you put in to be able to see your front bumper and what's in front of you from the driver seat? Mirror or camera? if mirrors what type?

There are convex mirror setups out there that attach to your rxisting mirror mounts, or to front of coach. You see them on FedEx / UPS vehicles some times. Try looking online, or a Heavy Truck accessories store

If you need to know exactly where your front bumper is in a modern Class A, it's pretty much directly below the edge of the windshield. School buses us convex mirrors, you could find a wrecked bus in a junk yard and get the bracket and the mirror if you need it.

You could also go to your local school bus depot and ask the maintenance people what they have and where they get them. I do know that USPS has them but they are body mounted but I don't know the manufacturer.

Why do you need to do that? I know I can pull right up to something until my windshield almost touches, and that's close enough. Now, what I would really like to see is the right front wheel. Even though I know where it is on the coach, sometimes I wish I could see the ground in the immediate vicinity!

Never thought about this actually. We have cameras for turns (right, left) and backing up. I can just see the GOV stepping in and making it mandatory to have front mounted cameras.

I replaced my B&W camera and monitor with color LCD from Costcos:

http://www.costco.com/.product.10008...ultiItemViewCP

It allowed 2 additional cameras. I added 2 from ebay for about $50. I installed both in the passenger side mirror. One looking rearward down the side of the coach and the second downward to view the front wheel.

Your new late model modern motorhome actually has a bumper??

Late model gassers have nothing but a fiberglass front cap and air behind that. Some DP models might have a generator slide mechanism up there.

Either way, I would not plan on "bumping" anything, and only get as close as the windshield.

I see the need in seeing close to front of my coach.( Winnebago 27N) , my DW can walk close in front of MH and I can not see her from drivers seat. In camp ground a child could be in front of your coach in a flash. What a good question ! Shows me how I can learn from reading this fourm.

Check these school-bus mirrors out! I'm considering something like these. Rosco Mirrors-IntegraStyle®-North Americas Leading Supplier Of Mirrors

I can see both front wheels from the mirrors on our bus. If I need to see down in front, I stand up.

Acrol mirrors and cameras to see all around your coach:
