I keep a .38/.357 next to the bed at all times. I take the .45 or 9mm when we go out on the trail on the atv or in the jeep.

If you want a high post count on your thread talk about guns or Walmart.

I am fond of both btw.

I love the idea of wasp spray !!! I am going to use that one fer sure!!! Thanks.
I don't like the idea of a gun... never have. I do have a professional sling shot. If it comes to a fight for survival - you will probably run out of bullets before I run out of rocks! Anyone interested in self defense might look into studying Tai Chi - it is all about self defense (Chung Style) while improving your overall health and well being.

Here is my big question. Of all you RVers out there who either do or don't carry a gun have ever had a incident while traveling in your MH that you needed self protection. Either somebody breaking in or trying to break in or road rage or whatever?

I have never had any incidents that have come down to requiring self protection for either me or my DW.

As I was reading this my wife brought me a letter with my new CCW license enclosed.
I have been in situations where I would have felt better being armed.
I don't think I will or plan on having an accident but i carry insurance, the same goes for a gun.

For those carrying a can of wasp spray,it may seem to be a good idea till you use it on someone.Check the label..This is taken from a brand new can of Ortho Hornet and wasp killer4 with a 20' range."It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with labeling."

While I have never been in a situation in our RV that I would have had to use deadly force I feel more at peace when I carry and will continue to until I can be assured that no one will ever attempt to harm my family or myself!

Yes. And when it happens to you (hope it doesn't) I suspect you will start thinking about making a change. BTW, my incident happened while re-fueling at a fuel stop.
