Selling a Used Class A

I thought that there was a forum to list RVs for sale. Can someone either correct me or point me in the right direction?

Take a look at the very top of the page, just about in the center. Look for "classifieds". The drop down menu there will take you to a place where you can place an add.

I would advertise in the IRV2 Classifieds and also in RVTrader.com. RVTrader has a deal where you can pay one price and advertise it until it sells, with space for lots of pics!

One caution......if someone makes you an offer that you want to accept, tell them that you can only accept a direct transfer of funds between their bank and yours!

In addition there are several RV consignment dealers where you can sell it. Try PPL in Houston they get good turnovers there.

I sold my Class C in 2 days and bought my Class A on Craigslist and have no regrets at all.

I recently sold a class A on Craigslist in 3-1/2 days. Had it fairly priced and did not give it away.

Sold on CL last year also. Took me more than 3 1/2 days though.
Advertise as much as you can for free.

My recent selling experience:

Craigslist after a couple three weeks - zero contacts. Listed then also with RVTrader and RVT.com. In the next week had 10+ contacts via RVTrader, zero via RVT.com. Sold within that week. Exact same ad verbiage and pictures on each venue.

YMMV.

I'm surprised you weren't contacted by all the scammers on Craigslist!

As a person shopping for a Class A (narrowed it down to 3-4 specific models of interest) it is very annoying to respond to ads people place often within 1-2 days of the initial ad just to receive no reply at all from the seller. So if you do decide to place an ad yourself for the sake of all the potential buyers out there please reply to inquiries, even if it is to say the unit is already sold, also please pull the ad once it does sell. This will make life better for everyone involved in used RV market.

Isaac - I'm sorry that you had some bad experiences. I'm inquiring for a friend but I will share your input with her.

Good luck with your search.
