Selling privately is a very chancy business. Somebody who thinks your rig is just perfect may happen along quite quickly, but many people have had their RV For Sale signs out for more than a year. I know two people who have yet to find a buyer and they have tried consignments, local ads, online ads (e.g. RVClassified.com) and signs in the front lawn - nothing has worked. Not even major price reductions. And both rigs are in nice shape too.

Some folks are afraid to buy privately because they worry about problems and after sale service. They seem to think they need an Rv dealer to back up the sale.

What RV Roamer said is true. Plus it's really not a good time to try selling, money is hard to come by for a lot of folks. If your in a hurry to sell forget it, unless your willing to nearly give it away. Even then it may not be a easy sell. What you can trade it for is anyones guess. I would say the first thing you have to do is figure what the lowest dollar is your willing to sell it for and go from there in trade deals.
