I'm a car collector, and do most of my own work.
My rig has two oil drain plugs, one half way up, the other at the bottom. You drain the top half (about 2.5 gallons) into a 5 gallon bucket, dump that, then drain the bottom one. Easy. Same for chassis grease jobs, and other maint.
My next main is rear half grease job, then generator service, front hubs and the remaining filters (fuel, hydraulic, air-dryer, etc.)
I also did a new alternator and belt the other day...

Up until Speedco raised the price from $179 to $249 for an ISC oil and lube service you couldn't do this job for less than what they charged. It's still a good deal. Two fuel filters, an oil filter, 7 gallons of oil, not to mention looking for 32 zerk fittings. Not having to dispose of the used oil is almost worth it right there.
I figure I'm paying about a hundred bucks over what it would cost me to do this job myself, not counting the time which for me would be an all day, dirty, messy job. Satisfying once you're done maybe, but still a big job. Once you're in their bays, Speedco has you out in under an hour. They even let you stay in the coach for Pete's sake. It's a no brainer for us!

I do my own routine maintenance. I enjoy it and know it's done right. In the last month I've done a cooling system flush and refill on my engine and generator cooling systems, engine oil and filter changes on both, and all fuel filters, coolant filter and water separator. On a side radiator it isn't hard, it's just massive quantities and you have to plan for it.
The best thing I bought was this:
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Scepter-Dry...ans/1000195409
I use it for catching fluids for recycling. It holds 16 gallons. I slip it into a 55 gallon drum liner to keep it clean. When not being used for service I bathe my dogs in it with my outside shower.

I will be 66 in August. Recently retired aircraft mechanic with United. I still like turning wrenches. Was wondering why there is 2 drain plugs on the oil pan....now it makes sense. I will be getting a sample and sending to Blackstone Labs for a initial baseline.
Now to Wally World for the Mobil Delvac 15/40 that is on sale !!
