Shame on Camping World Panama City Fl

Upon the purchase of a Fleetwood, Discovery 40X,2008, I requested a I OWE YOU list ,which Camping World agreed to. I have purchased the rig, and NOW they have declined on fulfilling our agreement, and now(several weeks later)have sent me an agreement which I DID NOT agree to. Shame on Tamara in sales and Gene Taylor. I have now learned a lesson.

Did you get the original list in writing? If you did you can do something. If not you do not have a leg to stand on and will have to take their agreement.

You should have received the I OWE YOU before you signed a purchase agreement, if you did then you have a leg to stand on. We almost fell into a similar situation at Camping World in Vacaville CA. We had agreed to a list of things to be put on the I OWE YOU list. Next thing we know the finance guy brought out the purchase agreement for us to sign, we asked about the iou and he said they're working on it, just sign this in the mean time. We knew we were being had and just walked out. Glad we did. Haven't been back to a CW since.

Wink

CW is ruining the Good Sam name. When Marcus took over it became a money making endeavor and CW is going from bad to worse. I am sure there are some good CW's somewhere but I hear more bad than good. I have had and still do have GS road service and extended warranty with good results but as far as CW and the GS clubs are concerned they are going down hill fast.

With respect, your opinion, not mine. I think Cw has improved with the efforts of Marcus. I have always had good experiences at CW,both in the store and the service bays, but then again I have not visited all the 100+ stores. I'm sure there a few bad ones.

Good for you...........did the same thing recently on a new Chevrolet Sonic. I have bought a bunch of new cars/trucks, and I could not believe the stuff they were pulling.

Up until my last experience with CW I would have agreed with Dog Folks but after a 3rd bad experience with CW I now have to agree with Slick60. The first 2 bad experiences I just shook off but after this last time, and even having Marcus involved with no resolution, I also firmly believe CW is going downhill fast! My situations have all been with buying experience and service after the fact but still for the OP I would go ahead and contact Marcus, or his secretary, PR person, or whoever handles his stuff and give him a shot at fixing the issue. Again, all this is JMHO!

could you post your I OWE U list and then what the CW revised list was so we can see the discrepancies between the two and how bad $$ wise your being screwed over on?
Thanks

I just haven't heard any good stories about CW service. I'm sure the stories are out there but the majority of stories make the sales and service side look like a bunch of amateurs.

I agree.
What I don't get is why there's a line of people waiting to talk with them?

It's like another group we're not supposed to talk about in this forum. A total lack of accountability.
