Shoreline Power Reel Parts

I have a 50A power reel with bad brushes. Of course this model is no longer manufactured and no parts are available from Shoreline. The brushes are copper (not carbon). Any one have a suggestion as to a source for these brushes? I can probably make some out of copper bolts or stock but it would be simpler to just buy them, if available.

I think the first thing I would try would be to look in the phone book of the closest town to you. Find a place that rebuilds automotive starters and alternators. Take the brushes to them and see if they have a supplier that can get them from you

The other option is to try looking on the internet for a company that sells copper brushes and call them.

I would try the starter rebuilder first though
