Any comments about the quality of service from Shorewood RV? Are there any quality independent service facalities for motorhomes in the Twin City area?

Thanks

Jack

Yes , I have had an experience with Shorewood RV In Anoka MN - AN EXTREMELY BAD ONE!! I broughjt my Airstream in for a repair to my dump valves, and both my air conditioners (dripping inside the camper). This involved 2 250 mile round trips - one for drop off and one for pick up. After leaving the camper with them for one week, I came back to pick it up, paid my $943.00 repair bill, and I was on my way. The next day, I tried the air conditioners - BOTH STILL LEAKED. Examining the "repair" I found a large silicone glopped all over the drip tray, and clearly saw the water running thru a "crack" in the soft silicone. The repair order stated the drip tray was patched, and repositioned (which Airstream INC. told me later repositioning wasnt possible as it is in a fixed position). Tried the rear AC - it too leaked like a screen door. Now I put some water in the black water tank, and guess what - it too leaked like crazy. Upon calling Brian the service writer, I was told he personally inspected the repairs, and all were fixed, and whatever I did to these repairs after I left the dealership wasnt his problem, and also it wasnt his fault that I lived so far away and had to drive 500 miles to have them service my camper. So much for having an Airstream dealer perform service. This workmanship and customer service was deplorable, and the smart alec service writer should be fired, and If they had a shread of decency, I should be refunded my money. If anyone reads this who is considering doing business with this poor excuse for a dealership, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Fred Schmidt

Jack,
Just in case you considering them, I wouldn't recommend Brambilla's in Shakopee either. Just my opinion of course, but have had what sounds like similar problems with them as the poster with Shorewood. If you find someone good in the Twin Cities, please let me know!!
Good luck!
