I have them but consider them useless. My mirrors do a much better job. Could be that it's just me but I don't like having my eyes leave the road to glance at the backup/side camera screen that is located in the lower middle part of the dash. In addition, I often get glare on that screen.
I believe the mirrors are more versatile and safer. If the side cameras had not come with the coach, I certainly would not have added them.
Just my $.02

When we first got our motor home it had a Triplevision black and white monitor with rear and side view cameras. I didn't care for the side view at all and shortly after the warranty was up the monitor failed. I checked on the price of a replacement monitor and a replacement aftermarket color system. I found a company called Rear View Safety and found I could get an entire replacement color system for less than the price of a replacement b/w monitor. It was a good decision to go with the color system as I also found the side view camera's had a much wider view than the original Triplevision system.

Just OK
Mine came with a Voyager 3 camera system.
I would not pay a lot of money for them. They are useful while parking in tight areas. Not particularly useful while driving.
More important is mirrors and using them effectively.

Same here. I use the mirrors not the cameras, the mirrors are faster and easier to check.

Too many times the sun creates so much glare they are useless. Rare case when I spend the time to look at the monitor.

My Knight came with them, mounted in the mirrors of all places. Totally useless! They were so annoying that I disconnected them.

Ditto. The rear camera is very useful. I wouldn't pay anything for side cameras. A properly adjusted mirror is much better. Also you have to be careful when having the MH washed. The cameras are easily damaged by pressure washers.

Side Cameras ( are they worth it)
I have read a lot about the neg. side regarding side cameras. If you have them great. Your mirrors are the FIRST thing you should look at. My side cameras take out the blind spots. They provide incredible views of side traffic that mirrors cannot see. Nobody has said remove their side mirrors. Side cameras compliment the mirrors and provide additional safety. My vote is the combination of both. Isn't safety most important. Side Cameras have save my Bu#@ more than once.
My option to have 3 cameras vs 1 backup cameras was about $120.00. MY FAMILY LIFE IS WORTH WAY MORE THAT!

I don't like my side camera either.....reason being, when you turn on your signal, it goes to the side camera and you loose the rear camera. Like to see how we are doing when making the turn since most of us are towing a toad. I like the mirrors also and a bit less distracting....
Good idea Dennis K......I have thought of disconnecting them, but got lazy. It just came to me, I'm going to put a round piece of tape over the camera....thanks for the thought.

X2
After four years with this MH, it still drives me crazy when my toad disappears.

I could use a side camera at the rear to show me when I'm at the right place to get gas. My back up camera doesn't help me very much. Eddie Elk.

Funny thing about side camera's is when you need them the most, your front tires are blocking the view !
