Silicone radiator hoses

I searched for a thread about replacing the radiator hoses with Silicone hoses but found none. My question is it worth it to upgrade to silicone hoses? I always have heard that they will last forever but cost more. Has anyone done this??? My Monaco Signature is a 2004 with 29000 miles, do I need to replace them at all???

Hi djhinds,
An 04 with 29K miles should not need hose replacement. If you have green coolant, have you replaced the coolant? If not, it may be time due to age. If you have red coolant, it should be good until 2012. I'd time the hose replacement with the next coolant replacement (after this replacement.
