Silverleaf Away Mode

The DW and I picked up our 2018 MADP from the Newmar factory this week and arrived home yesterday evening. Given the nighttime freezing temperature I attempted to configure Silverleaf to heat the MH to 50 degrees. I did this by configuring the heat temperature setting on the Climate -> Away screen. I then returned to the Climate -> Now screen and selected "Leave" thinking that this would activate the Away schedule. When I went out to the MH this morning, the coach temperature was in the upper sixties per the daytime schedule.

Is the "Leave" button on the Climate -> Now screen how you enable the away schedule? Or do I need to change the day and night schedules to heat to 50 degrees?

Also the Climate -> Now screen has a "Auto" switch. What does this do?

I would contact Newmar and get a set of manuals. Start reading. Shame on Newmar for not supplying manuals for your rig.

Your assumption is correct! HERE is a link to the 2015 Silverleaf manual. It will take a few seconds to download.

Thanks for the link. Iím not quite sure why the temperature didnít stay as set in the away mode. Iíve decided to turn scheduling off while itís sitting in my driveway and just set the temperature to constant 50 degrees. Iíll play with it again once Iím not concerned with the freezing temperatures.

You have to change your setting for your climate control, take it off automatic. I agree the away should work the way you stated (I thought the same thing).
