Lightbulb Silverleaf screens - show us your layout

Just installed mine, like to get ideas or tips & tricks for a great layout.

If you did day/nite that may be interesting also.

John,
I'm interested in the iPad application. What steps do I have to go through to make it happen? I already have an iPad.
Thanks,
Lloyd

Can you rearrange the different readings to different places on the computer screen?? Going to get Silverleaf on my Surface Pro and install in the coach this summer.

Yes, you can arrange the gauges any way you like. A nice feature in it is the ability to correct the mpg. The VMS is getting the same info as the dash computer is, but you can put in a correction factor that will show an accurate indication of mpg. It took a few changes to get it to match the hand calculated method. It has to be checked against trips that do not require the use of the generator or aqua hot. Once it is correct, you can record what the engine used and what the other two used. Kind of anal, but some of us need entertainment.

I will be getting mine soon. I am going to run it on an older xp machine in my cabinet and run it to a 7" monitor that I mounted above my Garmen. Didn't want a clunky computer mounted on my dash and I like the graphing ability that you can't do on the iPad Click image for larger version

Here's what I have rigged up. I run it on a Dell XPS 12 laptop/tablet. Basically replaces my dash panel. Sits on an aluminum L on silicone pads.

Just a note to anyone planing to use a Windows 8 computer. You have to disable the Verified Signature setting in your laptop. You will not be able to load the drivers otherwise. It's easy to do, the instructions are available on the Silverleaf site. There's also videos on Utube.

Hope this helps.

Correct, and then it works perfect.

Load the vms air app and you have to use the wifi jib. With the wifi jib you can display on iPad, iPhone and laptop at the same time.

However it will be the only thing that item can be connected to. The jib becomes the only wifi thing while connected.

The iPad screen does not display as much as a computer screen.

In the vms thread in the Monaco section somebody posted up how to clone you computer screen on a iPad. I'd link to it, but I'm on my iPad and don't know how to.

If nobody as posted by the time I get home I'll link to it.

It's VMSair, both phone and pad.

John,
Sorry but this is all Greek to me. What is the wifi jib? Is this the device that attaches to the diagnostic port presumably under the dash? Do I order it from Silverleaf? Cost?
Thanks for responding.
Lloyd
