Six day storage question

Greetings all!

New Class A owner here. Taking our coach to a body shop Wednesday and dropping it off for repair damage previous owner created. It is a regular auto body shop (work is all paint) they are not familiar with motorhomes.

When i drop it off, can I shut off the disconnect in the drivers area console (not the big batter switch in the battery compartment) and still leave the coach operable for them to move around the yard?

I guess the big question is, when that switch is off is the chasis still fully functional?

Don't want to leave it sitting there for 5-6 days with all the little power robbers on, smoke dectetcors, clocks etc etc.

L.

Unfortunatly I thought of it too late. Don't have time to shut the switch off, leave the coach unplugged and wait 6 days to see how the batteries do.

The coach is normally plugged in at home, don't worry about this stuff.

Hate to shut it off, and get called back to the body shop because it prohibits their work after it sits for a few days. They can't fit the coach in the shop. Previous owner ran over something? and it crushed the bottom of the first 2 basement doors, skin damage only, where the door skin rolls under the coach. Could have taken them just the doors, however also having a scratch fixed on the coach right rear corner.

It sounds like I should be okay.

Thanks all!

I keep learning about this stuff.

Lloyd, your question was if the chassis battery was still functional with the switch off. You don't need to wait 6 days. Just turn off the switch and see if you can start the engine.
