Sleep number bed

We own a 2011 Winnebago Adventurer with a "sleep number" bed in our coach and have had operational problems with it. Seems to be the limit switches flimsy mounts on the bed frame. By design, the way that switch are mounted, they are destined to failure. Anybody had problems with the bed

Not sure what the limit switches are . Mine has a wireless remote for setting the firmness of each side.

Contact 'sleep number' and see what they have to say. They helped us when we got our current MH.

Not sure what you're talking about. We have two Sleep Number beds and never heard of a "limit switch"

sleep number bed

The bed we have is a mattress setup that, when you want the bedroom slide retracted, the bed has to be in the upright position. It runs on a steel frame which has limit switches (electronic switches that when activated tells the slide out motor that it is alright to bring slides in The frame mounted switch is mounted on the frame rail. The switch is not being made because of the flex in the mount the switch is mounted on.

So is it a Sleep Number problem or a issue for Winnebago?

I have no idea who is to blame for the maker of this bad design.

Sounds like the MH manufacturer to me!

That's a relatively common complaint. Most people just adjust (bend) the switch mount or tighten it. You might also be able to bend the little metal arm to make better contact.
Or pay someone one-half hour labor to do so.

If the switch failed, add $30 to replace ( I found online for $3.60).

Is this the switch? Same as the slide room slide lock lockout switch?

Definitely a Winnebago issue. Our friends have one and their bed has to slide up first in order for the full wall slide to come in. Theirs got stuck and wouldn't slide up. Frank had to get down on the floor and work on it to get it to move. Finally got it working but we were an hour late leaving that morning for the ballgame.

Not sure what the limit switches are . Mine has a wireless remote for setting the firmness of each side.

Now seriously, was this helpful to the OP?

Maybe not helpful but neither was the description of his problem. Perhaps with some more accurate details an answer may have come quicker. I nor others probably had any idea that his bed had to fold up for the slide to come in. With our posts he probably was able to conclude the fact that his description needed some more accuracy, what did your post contribute?
