I just read on another site where someone was observed driving down th road with a slide extended about a foot. I'd like to kick this suggestion around , why don't the Manufacturers put on slide alarms. They are put on autos for door alarms, hatches open etc. why not on a slide, it would be cheap install and would be another safety check. What do you all think???

Capt Bud,
Between the low air pressure warning, the Low Tire pressure warning, the check antenna buzzer and the jacks down buzzer, I'm already nuts. I guess if you looked in the mirrors and couldn't tell your slide(s) was out it could be helpful, but I'll check in by eye. Extra expense for not much return IMO.

I always lock my slides after retracting them so this is not a problem. I do not need more alarms and I hate the one that make a terrible racket to let you know the slide is retracting that some units have. I disconnected my back up alarm.
