Slide awning protection

I recently had to replace my slide awning (6 years old) because it was tearing near the front where it attaches to the rail.
I'm thinking that it is at that point where all the stress is when the wind velocity picks up when driving.
I have been doing some internet searches to see if there is some kind of wind guard available to ease some of that stress. Other than the complete metal overlap available I haven't had much success.
Any feedback would be welcome.

Do you have the anti-billow devices are sold for slide toppers? They won't stop wear and tear but (supposedly) reduce the chance of the slide cover material blowing out in the wind. Run a Google search on RV anti billow device and you'll come up with a lot of information
