Slide Deployment in Storage? Partial OK?

I have indoor storage for my rig. OH YEA! The bay is just about wide enough I might be able to put my slides all the way out. I just put my rig in the bay for the first time but haven't had time to double check that out yet. Even if I could deploy fully, that would make getting around the rig in the bay a real hassle.

So, I'm just wanting to get a little more room in my coach when I am putzing around it to do some interior projects. Nothing major planned.

Is there any problem with only partially deploying a slide? I'm just looking for about 1' on all 3 slides for some elbow room.

No problem, but be aware that the seals are not in place, so mosquitos or whatever can get in around the edges.

I don't know if it applies to your slides or not but the manual on my HWH slides warns against deploying (or retracting for that matter) slides partially without running them through the full cycle of fully opened and then fully closed.

I'm not sure what problems (if any) it might cause but if you're not able to fully deploy them before having to retract again you might want to check you manual.

Good luck.

Thanks guys...I'll check out the clearance. I think I can fully extend so I can "cycle" them when I am ready to bring them in.

As mentioned when the slides are not fully closed or opened there can be large openings for more than just skeetos to get in. Mice, birds, squirls etc. I would want the seals cleaned and treated and closed.
When you are out there "puttering" just open them and then close them
