Unhappy Slide lock damage

I took my new 37kt challenger to CW because the slide rattled while driving. They called and told me it needed a slide lock and they would install. They did install and when I moved the slide out it caused damage to the slide. The piston slide lock caused the damage. They told me I should have taken the lock out! Number one I was never told this and besides you cannot take out the slide lock without out first openining the slide! What goes here??

Might try re-posting this on RV.net. The CEO of CW peruses that site and offers his em addy so you can contact him directly. He often seems to be willing and able to help. Good luck.

I have a 2012 Thor Challenger 37DT 3 slides. I have had trouble with the dinete slide rattling while driving. After taking it to CW several times, it was decided that slide certain parts had to be changed.

Thor said they installed a new slide system and they were having problems with the design. They sent new parts to CW and that resolved the problem.
If need be, have your CW dealer call CW in Lakewood NJ at 732-905-8063, they should be able to advise your dealer.
Good luck
