03 Southwind 32VS. Workhorse Chasis. My front slideout would not retract. Tride to manually ratchet it in and couldn't budge it. Then I looked at the motor and found the little lever theat releases the motor. I was able to use the motor then to retract......however the brake did not lock it in and it moved out about 4 inches while traveling. I then manually moved the lever on the motor to lock it. I have to do this ever time now. Anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on where to look or what to do? I'm mechanically inclined so not afraid to tackle the problem. Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

Sounds like the brake mechanism has failed; maybe as a result of trying to manually force it in with the manual brake set. You may be able to rebuild the brake package. If not you will need to replace it. Good luck and enjoy!
