Slide Out Locks

Has anyone experienced a problem with automatic locks on slide outs. If so, is there a common problem that causes them not to work ?

Hello and We are glad to have you join us here and we look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. I am sure you will enjoy our website and forums. Good luck, stay safe and keep us posted.

The most frequent part I have seen to fail has been the limit switches. What exactly is the lock assembly not doing? How mechanically and electrically inclined are your skills?

I'll chime in on my problem, On the 2007 Itasca Horizon there are 4 slides, all HWH. The front 2 are flat floor and have locks. The driver's side works, I can hear the motor work and engage. The passenger does nothing. I figure either the switch or locking mechanism. So far not that big a deal and not sure where the mechanism is to inspect. If it's an easy to locate item that someone knows where it is, I'll jump into it. Otherwise I'll research and tackle it when I run out of things to do.

Slide out locks

Thanks for all replies. Nothing happens when slide comes back in. No motor noise, no audio warning when it goes out.

I had issues once with my lock arms, I wrote about it here. There may be some clue(s) there for you to assist in diagnosing your particular issue.
