Slide problems

Just purchased my first Rv, Thor Daybreak 30FS, 2012 model brand new. My problem is when I put my slide out and back in,it is rocking up and down as it extends and retracts, there seems to be a roller missing from under the slide. My question is should there be rollers on the outer edge (closest edge near fridge)of the slide or is the rocking motion normal. Ps. It has already damaged the Lino

Welcome calvinr to irv2.
You should get down in step well and look under you slide platform and look for rollers and check to see if one has come off the bracket its attached to.
You maybe able to tilt slide with it out half way and place 2x4 under it to work on roller.

It is new. Can't you take it back to dealer or call the manufacturer for help?

Thanks, I have talked to the manufacturer and they said the dealer would be more than happy to fix my problem, I do have an appointment for next week but I guess I just wanted to hear from someone else if this rocking motion was normal. I guess I am not very trusting when it comes to dealerships after they have made their sale.

Can't say about yours, but many slides have what might be described as a "rocking motion." If your slide floor is close to level with your main floor when it's out, it will have to tilt slightly on the way in, to get up and over the main floor, then level out as it comes the rest of the way in.

Mine looks like it's going to scrape the ceiling before leveling out, but it always just misses. The rocking is worse if for some reason I don't have my jacks down when operating the slide.

Mine tilts back and forth on its way out or in. this is how they get the floor to be level when extended.

Thanks speed racer, mine is a full length slide, it has the sofa, table, closets. And dressers in the master bedroom all on the raised slide, which is aprox 2 1/2 in. Above the main floor when extended.

We have a full wall slide. There are multiple rollers that can be checked, with the slide out. Pull back rubber under the slide floor to inspect. You most likely have one not aligned or missing! Manf. Do some lousy QC. We, the consumer are quality control!! Take it back to the dealer, most likely CW. Our slide raises slightly coming in and drops down going out no grinding or jerking. Approx. half inch or less above the fixed floor when extended. 2 1/2 inches seems extreme. Best of luck it takes time to get the "bugs" out.
