Slide problems

2007 Holiday Rambler Scepter driver side front slide will not retract when fully extended. I have to jack it up a little to take weight off then it will retract. Installed new motor but didn't help?

What is in the slide? What slide out system? Guessing rack and pinion?

Yes rack and pinion. I don't think it is going out too far as the floor won't be level with the slide if it is not fully extended.
Thanks

What is your voltage at the motor when trying to retract? And what is the amp draw?

Hi All, just bought a 1997 fleetwood pace arrow and can't get the slide to work, do they have a level switch? I've torn down the motor for the hydraulic system and it's fine. any suggestions, I also changed the solenoid. I have power to the solenoid. still nothing.

Might wanna start your own thread.

However, things to check are voltage first. Power to solenoid is good. What is the voltage? Have someone push switch; when switch is pushed, do you get voltage THROUGH the solenoid and to the motor and what are the volts at the motor?

Tom, not sure if your slide is the same as my 08 Endeavor but on my large drivers side slide they used plastic wheels under the slide which will crack and break. These wheels are hard to see if you don't know where to look. The guys to call are Elite Repair and Remodel in Harrisburg Oregon 541-995-4767. They all worked for Monaco for years and are very knowledgeable. They should be able to point you in the right direction.
