Slide Topper problem

My slide topper doesn't always retract all the way. I have to check it each time I retract the slide. If it doesn't retract I have to run the slide back out part way and then retract it again to get it to retract all the way. My local dealer replace the material one time because the material got wind damaged because I didn't know that it didn't retract. Is this normal or does it need to be lubed or adjusted?

Likely needs to have the tension readjusted, depending on the model its fairly easy to do. I have Carefree slide toppers and had to do that after a large wind storm streteched the fabric. On retract it would roll under the seal of the slide, watch out for that as it can cause the upper seal to lift and not seal in a good rain because of that issue after my topper got stuck the next rain was like a waterfall on bedroom slide. Fairly easy fix.
