Slide topper under the awninig

I'm not ready to do this yet but...
The passenger side slide topper is mounted under the awning. This means when we get ready to replace it the arms for the awning prevent sliding the topper out forwards or backwards. So how do you get the old one out and new one slid in? Does the awning need to be removed or can one arm be loosened and held up long enough to slip the topper behind it and the new one in.

That is strange. Our slide topper is attached to the MH above the large awning arm mechanism. Don't know what to tell you.

For whatever reason our awning is longer than the slide and attached to to MH above it. It rolls out over the slide. This makes it a must to be a power awning and makes it so it can't go down very low. We have a Patty O Shade to make up for it. I see newer MHs that have the awning on the slide and some with a second awning behind to make up for the short one.

That topper is OK for now but sags a little pooling water. One on the other side is starting to rip so I thought about doing all three at the same time. Some Gorilla tape is holding it for now.
