This could be correct. We have a Tour 40' with electric slide locks that are located in the top of the slides. Do you have a lock switch? If so, and there is no response when pressing it (I can hear mine retract or lock), I would consider opening it up (my locks are under a black plastic cover located on the top of the cabinet in the slide). Mine failed once and I found I could gnetly tap the lock motor while my wife pressed the button and it would activate. Needed a new motor and it has been great ever since.
