Slider stripes on Gasser

When I was looking to buy a MH I was fixated on getting a Monaco DP (don't ask) one of the things I wanted was to have the slides having the side strips. I saw many with and without in DP but never on gas models, I'm just wondering why.

Now I know of at least one gas job with them

I asked the same question, John, when we bought our Bounder. I assume it's because they're painted with the slides in & it's more hassle to do those sides. But, as anyone can see from the photos, it looks SO much nicer & finished with them painted.

Although, at least our sides are painted grey (see below). I've seen some with white & they really stick out!

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

I agree. Looks better with the stripes painted on the side of the slides, when extended the look is continuous.

Mine doesn't have the side of the slides painted either.

PS Good looking coach!

On my gasser the curb side slide-out has graphics on the ends, but the drivers side slide doesn't. I don't know why. Cost perhaps?

But in the grand scheme of things and the cost for everything else even if you pay someone else to do it the cost is not that great compared to the satisfaction factor, not to mention a few other never ending things that still have to be gotten for it.

All right I give. I have looked at all my pics of my gasser and all slides have the stripes continued around them. It is older, is that it?

Maybe. Are your stripes painted or decals? It's possible decals were wrapped around all sides on slides then.

The 99 pace arrow I had had the ends of the slide "finished" also.
And yes, a gel coat coach with stickers.

My new monaco has unfinished slide ends, lots of them. It's on my list to get that done. Someone said easiest and cheapest would be to get stickers made of the proper colors, then just cut em to size and glue em down.
