Follow what you owner’s manual
says. Each manufacturer has a different procedure.

Based on your profile you have a 40' Monaco Diplomat, you should put this in our signature so knowledgeable people can help.

Do you have a manual for your coach, if not download one from here,

https://www.monacocoach.com/rv-owners-manuals

I have manual jacks on my rig. My manual instructions call for the slideouts to be deployed with full air bags. Once the slideouts are deployed I dump air. I then extend the front jack to the ground and raise the coach ~3/4". I then used the back jacks to level the coach left to right and then use the front or rear to level front to back.

Use search. this topic is exhausted about every month. The RV can't be twisted. It can be slightly out of level. It can be on the levelers or on the tires but it can't be twisted.

It should be level and not twisted for most confidence.

Check the outside gaps to ensure they are even around the slide to determine if the RV is twisted.
