Small crack on roof

OK now that I spent all day cleaning the black moss off the roof and now know every inch of the roof....I found a small crack about 1.5" long...close to the side radius...thinking best to put a piece of eternabond tape over it...?
Input appreciated!

Drill a small hole maybe and 1/8" at each end of the crack, clean surface and cover with the eternabond tape.

Yep that is what I would do, then look at it every 3 months to see if it changes.
