My Dutch Star had a similar problem. Water in the P traps of the sinks would slosh out creating a vent passage. I re-plumbed the traps using a deeper trap and solved the problem.

Similar problem on a Dutch Star. Water in the sinks, P traps, would slosh out while traveling, and create a vent from the tank. Re-plumbed the P traps using a deeper trap and problem went away.

Could be gray water odor too. If you're holding tank was filled to the top, it was probably belching up through the shower drain.

I've had this happen a couple of times at one particular state park. The dump station is up on top of a hill and its a steep one. So if the tanks are full...they want to belch. Never had any issues with the toilet/black but the odor coming up through the shower drain was enough.

Go online, order Happy Camper, follow instructions and never, again I say, never encounter that problem again.

Had the same issue on two RVs. The problem is poor venting through the $3 roof vents placed by the manufacturer. Assuming your vent piping is intact, replace the roof vents with the "360 Syphon" and your problem will be over. The previous manufacturer recently sold the business to Lippert and it is now manufactured and sold by them thru Camping World. It is a new addition to the 2017 Entegra Class A coaches so they obviously did their homework. Good luck - you should never need chemicals again,
