Smog inspection Orange County California

I am about to pull the trigger on an out of state rv and wondered if anyone can provide a referral to have the 38 ft mh smogged that is easily accessible.

Thanks much in advance for any referrals!

Thanks but I am familiar with a good smog place that I just took two cars - was looking for someplace with a big parking area/room to maneuver the 38 ft. mh as I am a rookie driver.

Anyone else out there with Orange County knowledge ?

Just a warning from my experience. I'm not in OC, but a local auto shop charged me $40. When I had it done once at an RV service place they wanted $135.

Also, I bought a 38' Fleetwood in AZ. It cost me over $3800 to register it in CA. Calculate that into the price.

I don't live in the area nor have I ever needed a smog test for a motorhome but I have heard from others in the SoCal area that AutoCheck does "full-sized" motorhomes (and according to their website's FAQ section ...go HERE, 4th question on the list).

I just took a look at the Santa Ana location's Google SV image and it does look as if it would be a fairly easy in-and-out. All the locations have drive-in lanes that have covers but the one in Santa Ana appears as if it has ample clearnace for a 12'+ high motorhome as I'm assuming that yours wouldn't be too much over 12' as it isn't a diesel pusher, correct? ...as DP's don't need smog checks from what I understand, correct? eta: I just saw the answer to my own question in their FAQs that a DP would not need a smog test as it would be over 14,500 GVW

Google Street View of entrance on Fairhaven Avenue ...looks very easy to enter the facility from that street

Google SV of exit from facility ...you may have to wait for a break in traffic to exit on Grand Avenue but there seems to be plenty of room to turn out once traffic on all the lanes is clear.

Google Satellite view so you can see layout looking down

It looks as if they have other locations in Orange County and SoCal (go HERE) so you might want to look up the same images for the other locations if they are closer to you and/if they have easier access for in and out.

Thank you for the information and especially to Longleen who provided a good referral. Now I need to find a place to store it.
