Snapping sound

On the road in british columbia and now waiting for roadside assistance.
While in Revelstoke I had to circle tje block to get long parking. Turing uphill with wheel cranked to left I hit a bump on the road surface.
I heard a crack then subsequent cracking as I continued up the slight incline of the road.
I checked whrn stopped fpr body flex and broken schock.
Neither were evident leaving town and driving doen mpuntsin roads I could hear a snapping spund at left front during that weight compression.
I pulled over west of Golden BC to take another look at the shock.
Tje snspping is right under my left foot,
Inspecting the steering mechanism it looks like one element is coming unscrewed - many threads uncovered.
Im afraid to drive further in case the steering mechanism fails.
Ill send a photo how do I attach?
Thx, rB

If you need help call Columbia Diesel in Golden. I haven't dealt with them in a number of years but the were good and reasonable when I did.

If using the quick reply box at the bottom of a forum page, click the "Go Advanced" button. If you use the quote or reply buttons on a thread, you are probably already on that page. The page you want has three main sections:
  • Reply to Thread which has the editor for your message.
  • Additional Options which is the interesting part.
  • Topic Preview that shows you a summary of existing posts.

In the Additional Options section, look for the Manage Attachments button and click it. There you will find four Browse... buttons: click one and find the file you want to attach. When you have all the files attached that you want, click the Upload button that's to the right of the Browse... buttons. That's an important step!

You can then close that window and return to your message and post it, the attachments will be included.
