So exhausted

I think I've been told this is part of the fun, but honestly I'm so tired of looking at RV's to buy. Can't someone just find what I want already and negotiate the price for me so I can get it?

We ended up taking a video camera with us to keep the different brands/models/floorplans straight when we decided to go from a Type B to a Type C.

It can be overwhelming! We looked for months and spent many many hours online looking at all of the online sites and comparing floor plans & features.

There are so many choices and each has their pluses and minuses. What is on your must have list?

Yep, that is part of the fun. And after you finally get what you think you want the rest of the fun is getting all the bugs worked out to your liking. The fun never ends.

We spent two years looking, going back/forth between new and used, decided on new, narrowed it down to two different brands, two different models of each brand.....then came which dealer to buy from. Yes it is a lot of work, but if you do it right you will end up with a MH that you love, a price you feel was fair, and a dealer that treats you well before and after the sale. All three are very important.

Looking is half the fun. To this day I still like to go look at the new MH's at shows ect., even though I have no plans on getting another one for a long time.

Keep it simple. Lay out a floor plan and options you've seen and then find one as close as possible. You'll get used to whatever you pick, it's the lifestyle that's important.

I love looking at plans. That is till I have to decide on one. Then its a price issue or a location issue or both. This is my leading contender but its about 30k more than I can spend and its in MI and Im in TX.

I've been buying and selling RV's for 5 years. I've owned 6. I've spent 1-2 hours a day looking at RVs for those 5 years. I've looked at 10's of thousands of RV's.

My wife and everything else around me is looking like an RV.

Well you can't go wrong with a Newmar, if there is some room for negotiation you can cut that $30k down a bit. Going a little over your budget now to get what you really want, may save you money down the road. Go out and look at it if you can.

You sometimes just have to buy one. Don't worry if you got the best deal in America, or even your half the country.
Just buy one that is what your looking for.
Anything that breaks can be fixed. Do some due diligence prior to purchase.
We went to one rv show and then bought the first coach we went to look at. Love it, use it and are camping with it as I type this.
Good luck. You only live once.

Did not look at any of these, just typed in 2009 Newmar Ventana 3961 for sale. You are way ahead of the curve if you have identified the model you want. Now you just have to come to terms with the price.

#1 look at the reputation of the customer service because all RVs break. These are rolling earth quakes.

#2 Don't fall in love with the glitz and glitter (just like shopping for a wife...fall in love with the heart not the body because the body will age).

#3 Don't believe the sales person. Do your own research

#4 lastly...look at the foundation. How well something is built underneath is far more important than what you see when you walk in the door. I've seen some beautiful pieces of junk.

Good luck

A friend of mine has been looking at many MH's. He looks to see where the water lines run. Can you imagine driving down the road on a super cold day and all your water lines are attached to the frame and not inside the MH? Might make for some interesting water issues.
