soft roof

Have the owner take the Rv to a dealer of your choosing for a roof inspection. Have the dealer check the motor home over to see if it isokay for you to buy. Perhaps an Rv dealer that sells/services the particular brand you are interested in. If the seller won't do this run away fast as you can!! Negotiate who will pay for this inspection. $ =peace of mind. See if the owner has service records for you. If none walk away.

OK. Thanks for that info. The roof was consistently pliant everywhere I stepped, so it may well be the foam. Thank you for the reference.

There was no evidence of a leak anywhere on the ceiling. It's the first thing I check.
